Review: The Otherling

The Otherling by Heather M. Walker My rating: 4 of 5 stars I finished reading The Otherling by Heather M Walker on March 21st, 2017 after starting it on January 10th, 2017. If the book was meant to be an adventure, then the plot was weak and only the details bolstered it as a substantial story. For example, the war between the angels and the demons seemed to be an aside and not part of the main story. The details about people’s emotional reactions seemed sappy and excessive but the plot was sweet and I enjoyed reading it. The beginning of the story started out dry but got better as I read further along. I loved the author’s concept of dream walking as this was new to me. It is described as being able to travel to a dream land and sometimes bring back unexpected manifestations of the dream to earthly reality upon waking up. Dream walking, as a paranormal gift, is not the same as sleep walking. The book builds up more than just a physical world to walk...
